Did our Impact work? How do you know? Our original idea was a Human sized Foosball table, which we discovered wasn’t going to work with our timeframe and budget! So we changed… Yes, because we actually have a table standing!  Our group had a few disagreements, but in the end it was painted, and ready to go! We think that all the other students will have fun playing with it because who can go wrong with a homebuilt Foosball table? Is the outcome what we imagined it would be? There were some parts we did not imagine it to look like what it does now e.g We did not think the fern was going to look as bold . What would we change if we were to do it again? We would probably put a roof on it like a glass roof. The glass roof would protect it when it is raining so it does not make the felt wet. Today when we did iDrive me and Neo were going to do lego and we let lots of people join like Jesse, Dilyn and Logan. With the lego we made a gold mining/construction site area. I made a really cool boat with skis because in our scene it was snowy. I also put skis on it so it can drive straight into the water so it doesn't have to take off the skis or take the boat off the trailer. Today in iDrive the learning power I showed was Connecting, because I communicated heaps when I worked with new people like Dilyn, Jesse and Neo. In lego today a had lots of fun because I learnt lots in lego and also enjoyed working with new people.

This is my first high jump video,I think I need to try get a better landing by getting a better balance and not running to fast,because I will not be able to lift up my feet because I will be slowing down. I also need to improve on jumping,I am going to do that by lifting my feet higher. 

Plus Today My plus was that,I got to work with different people.Hamish,Josh,Ryan,Kate,Alyson,Charlotte,Brooke and myself called our group the idiot filmers.We chose that name because we were all setting up stupid obstacles to try. Minus My Minus of my iDrive was when Olly,Hamish,Tawa,Logan and I didn’t think of something to do quick enough so the teacher chose something for us.They chose cards for us,I had already done cards and I didn’t enjoy it that much that’s why this session was my Minus. Interesting My interesting of iDrive was Box Models,Because it was interesting of what you could make out of all the cardboard.e.g. Hamish,Ryan and I made a fishing boat and when it was finished it looked like the boat off the movie Jaws.And we used lots of different stuff for it,so it also looked a bit scrappy.

Museum In the holidays my family didn’t do much,the first thing we done in the Holidays was go to the Auckland museum. When we got to Auckland we picked up Mums friend then went to Burger King to have lunch. Then we went to the Auckland museum on the way there was major traffic even at the museum it was so hard to find a park. At the museum I learnt lots of cool things and what sucks is I can’t remember anything that I learnt. We were meant to go to mini putt as well but we ran out of time so we're probably going this weekend because Mum had tickets. Coromandel On Thursday the last week of school holidays we went to Coromandel,Because my Mum had to work on the ambulance for a day. While she was working I was working too my sister and I were at my Uncle's shed making Muscle Bois. After that My sisters and I rode the motorbike my two older sisters were so crazy Aliesha ended up riding on two wheels, believe it or not when I rode on the back with them I almost died Liter

Today we chose new art groups that was fun. My new art group is called 3D letter art with Mrs Heaven. I think it is going to be really fun. Today we picked our letter and font. Then Mrs Heaven traced it on the projector then we had to cut out our shape on the piece of paper after that we designed our letter on Google Drawing. I used Creativity because I let my mind go free on choosing the font that I wanted. The letter I chose was L because my last name means a lot to me.

term 3 art reflection

Last week on Friday we had a Learning In The Making student led confrence day. That day last year I got my own blog I sure do remember my first post,it was like a sentence long. In the learning in the making I did Clay-mations first, clay-mations wasn't what I thought it was going to be,I thought we would of made stuff out of clay, but we made stuff out of playdough and took photos but between every photo we will move our mation so at the end it looked like it was moving. morphing claymation - YouTube Next I did Hotdog pasta I thought we would put some pasta on put it on the hotdogs. But we got some spaghetti and poked about five bits through the Frank Furtters Then we cooked it with pasta sauce and this is how it turned out. Today at school we had a change around we did art in the first block and iDrive My Street in the second block. iDrive My Street is a block where we can choose something do to. Hamish Ryan and I did box modelling we decided to make a fishing ship and we named it "SHE'LL BE RIGHT".Today I used Creativity with Creating some fish containers on the back so when you catch some fish you put them in the containers.

Princess Diana was born 1st of July 1961 in England she was the fourth out of thith children of John Spencer. Princess Diana's parents were John Spencer and Frances Shand Kydd. She was a mother to Prince William and Prince Harry and married to Prince Charles. Princess  Diana was "The Peoples Princess" because she was helping in a range of different ways and she helped lots of different charity's. Also before she got married she used to be a kindergarten teacher. But sadly on the 31st of August 1997 she died in a car crash in Paris Diana was not driving. It was Henri Paul he was taking Diana and Dodi the driver was drunk and he was trying to get away from some papparazzi's.Then crashed at 100km/per hour with four people in the car and only one person survived.                                                     

This week for iDrive I decided to try something new. And I tried lego I got into a group of 7 and we all built a little farm with a tractor, a couple of cows, a go-kart with a jump and lots more farming stuff. We had Hamish, Tawa, Logan, Mason, Olly, Finn and I. I had lots of fun and enjoyed myself. And we communicated with putting the farm together as well.

Last week I was sick so I didn't do I drive but this week we painted the house, black and white and named it the All Blacks House it is meant to be the All Blacks Meeting House. Today I participated in the house and music because I lost my instrument and felt like giving up but I just got another instrument.We were making a drum roll for when we presented the house to the class. And I also had lots of fun today.

Today we did I drive my street I was in a group with two of my friends and we built a house. Next week we are going to be doing the inside. Today I used communication when I was cutting some wood I asked Hamish and Olly if they could hold the wood. And when they asked me to do something I would do it for them.I was also having fun and enjoying my self when we were making the house. Believe it or not today I have probably smiled the most in my whole life. We also used allot of wood, today we didn't have much bad luck with the nails, not like last week anyway!

Last term for art we did lino prints,these two photos are my finished Lino print.As you can see the one on the left has a blue backround on the tree,it as a blue backround because we had two prints to do on each colour.On the left one when I done the blue onto the yellow it was out of place so when I put on the black the blue ended up behind the black. I will tell you the basics in lino cutting/printing. First you have to draw out whatever you're doing then get a 6b art pencil and draw it onto the lino bit then mark out whatever you are going to cut out first.After you ink the lino you put a piece of paper over top so you can get your first inked bit.Then wash the lino and mark out where you are cutting next after you cut out your lino ink it again then get the paper and line it up with the last print and then push the paper down.Just do that until all the lino is gone don’t just do the same colour use lots of different colours because that is the whole point of lino cut

On my two week holiday I did a few new things and some things I have already done before. The one new thing that I most enjoyed was JUMP in Auckland east Tamaki. JUMP is a inside trampoline world with a foam pit and lots more fun,there is also a canteen so you can stop and have little drink or a bite to eat.The best part at JUMP for me was the foam pit because there was a rope swing two midget tramps and a hight tramp to jump off,I also tried a back flip for my first time and done it straight away.At JUMP there was also a dodge ball centre were you could play a game of dodge ball and there was a little trampoline pit as well as the expert spot. I didn't get any photos of me but here are some photos at JUMP!!!. The other new thing I done was being in 5 different pens of calf's and each pen had at least 20 calf's in it.I enjoyed that because it was a completely different and new experience.

This week I finished my 2nd Character Description Take a look. Cleveland Brown is a funny man he has brown skin colour and has black hair including his mustache.He is from a State called Cleveland in the USA. Cleveland has three kids and a wife, the kids names are…Rallo Tubbs who is the youngest, Cleveland Brown JR is the middle child, Roberta Tubbs is the eldest. And Cleveland’s Mrs Donna Tubbs. On the show Cleveland always has a beer in his hand, like in the picture. He is always wearing his yellow shirt or a tuxedo. One time had to save Cleveland Brown JR from getting crushed from a tree,like a little car getting stood on.   He was wearing a really good looking tuxedo they were meant to be going out to church. But there was a massive storm going on outside and everyone was hungry and all the food wasn’t there.At the end it turned out Cleveland Brown JR had all the food. This week for our blog post we have to write about something that happened in the history in June,I picked to write about the first time the All blacks won the first Rugby world cup. In 1987 the All Blacks rugby players Michael Jones,John Kirwan and captain David Kirk scoring tries.The All Blacks defeated France 29-9 at Eden park Auckland,Kirk was the first caption to lift the Webb Ellis cup.The first rugby world cup was hosted by New Zealand and Australia. When the All Blacks won the first world cup they never realized how there legend could grow.The game the All Blacks won the first rugby world cup,ten years later John Kirwan had played 63 test matches.In 1987 Michael Jones missed the All Blacks thrash against the whales because his religious convictions meant no play on Sundays.In 1983 David Kirk the captain of the rugby world cup had a short career giving it away at the end of 1987. This week for our blog post we had to pick a quote offline I picked three quotes two from minions and 1 from Bob Marley. Quote 1 This week I chose this quote because it's about to friend minions and one no's how crazy one is and won't car if he was with him/her in public. I like this quote because it is about friendship and how much the minion likes the other minion and they will always be there for each other. Quote 2 I chose this quote because it is about being strong and being strong can really help you with your future. E.G If your were going to hire for a job you have to be strong and honest answering the qustion's that the boss ask's you,you have to honest but to be honest you have to be strong.

I am in the fourth highest maths group out of 9 groups at my school.My group is could the animals the maths groups are named after the charater's off the muppet's and reading and writing are named after ice blocks.For maths this week my group go given three worksheets and we had to do our AWS book,the worksheets were all double sided and in our group we have year 5 and 6's I am a year six.For our sheets that we got given some of it is year 7 and 8 work.I feel like I'm doing really well in my maths we have to do all the maths by Friday and we got it yesterday I have done almost two hole sheets and my AWS book.An AWS book is a book full of maths pages this week we were doing page seven.  

Yesterday I got all my literacy must dos done we had 5 to do they were SRA, Cloze,Studyladder,Spelling City and blog. I am doing my blog now but it still counts as all my dos being done by Tuesday because your blog has to be done on Wednesday or Thursday because there will be nothing to blog about. An SRA is a task that can make you better at reading and comperhension you have to read a couple of paragragh's then answer some questions about the book. Studyladder and Spelling City are online websites that help you get smarter in you literacy learning.A cloze is somthing like this you have to fill in the gaps with the words at the bottom.

On Wednesday sixth of May 2015 we had a school ripper rugby fun day out there was about 10 schools.For our school teams there was 6 teams and they were named after super rugby teams there was Crusaders Chiefs Hurcains Blues Highlanders and I cant remember the last team.In my team we had Olly Tawa Hamish Noha Me and the girls were Alyson Elania Olivia and Micha. Everyon that went had lots of fun two of the Ngatea primary to the final they had extra fun.

Today at school we got knew art and Trilling Thursday groups. For art I went to Mrs Barkers group we are doing a lino cut of houses. For Thrilling Thursday I moved from drama to science Mrs Barker also takes science. Thrilling Thursday is a Thursday when we have three groups to choose from Drama Science and Sport. I piked Drama first then today we swoped and I got moved to science.

On 25th April 2015 is the 100th anniversary of Anzac Day. Anzac Day is the day of the year to remember all the soldiers that died in war. This week at school we have been learning and researching about world war 1 and 2.Every year when we have Anzac ay mostly everyone wears a poppy for Anzac Day. It's a little red flower. Anzac stands for Australia & New Zealand Army Corps.In world war 1 9 million people died and in world war 2 60 million people died and millions were wounded. world war 1 went on for 3 years and world war 2 for 6 years. Every year everyone comes to the local hall for Anzac Day.

On Monday morning my class went to Totara springs Christian centre we got there at like ten a'clock then we unloaded the cars and the teacher showed us were the cabins are then we put our  stuff in.After that we went to the hall for the Instructors to tell us the rules and then we went and done top town. Then after that we had about 4 hours free time then went kayaking went on a water slide and jumped off a bridge 3 meters high and landed in water 5 meters deep then we went back to the cabins and had diner brushed our teeth had a shower and went to bed.The next day we done 5 activities they were crate climbing,Absailing,Go karting,rock climbing,flying fox.On day three we went on the hydro slide went in the hot pool and then packed up and went home at about lunch time. This morning In maths we were doing decimals and we had two questions the first one was 23.12-22.63 I was the only one that got it right the answer was 0.49.The next one was pretty hard I got it wrong by a bit. This is a picture of me showing my group how I worked  out the first question.I reversed the operation and then made a number line and worked my way to the number 23.12 from 22.63 and then added up what I added to get to the number.

Every Thursday in the morning we do art in class and I was in Mrs Sixsmiths group we were doing buildings and painted our backround  in circles. I was one of the people that finished first there's still a couple of people to finish also. This is a picture of my finished piece.

Today at my maths meting we were doing decimals on IXL and I got the question write 58 hudredths and 78 thousands and I got it right. This is a screen shot of the next question and my totle of my points,time and how much questions I did.

Today in maths me and my friend Jett got three medals on IXL. IXL is an online maths website we had lots of practice. We have got the gold medal once aswell. The person on the right is me.

Last week I finished my second peace of writing and most  of my group haven't finished the first one. Feeling the wind splash in my face as I run across the rugby field. Sprigs feel like I'm running in high heels. Spinning the ball to pass it to the player next to you. Pushing hard in a scrum  like a charging bull to get the ball. Aiming at the goal post, my heart bouncing out of my chest. Slipping and sliding in the mud like dirty pigs. My favourite activity, Rugby.

This week I finished my cameo writing a cameo is a short descriptive writing. I was the first one in my writing group to finish it. Feeling the breeze on my face as we hoon on the biscuit. Skyscrapers line the beach like trees in a row. Lightly hitting golf balls into a little hole stage by stage. Sweat dripping off my nose as I line up my golf ball. Eating ice cream feels like a big chunk of ice. Chocolate ice cream melting down my throat. Watching all the dust from the back of the BMX bike tyres. BMX riders flying as high as the Fearfall. You almost use a tonne of sunblock if you don’t want to get burnt. Slippery sunblock smeared all over my body. My favourite place,The Gold Coast

This week at school we are doing our PAT tests. I am doing good it takes up to 45 minutes to finish. At the start the teachers give you a password then you put it in and start,first there is an example then you press the next arrow so you can start.

Today at school on the 16th of Feburary I got my computer for school I've been saving up.And I finily got it I've still got three years to pay it off.
